I woke up to the sound of Mother calling my name from outside my room. “Ashy, wake up! You got to leave for Hogwarts!” she yelled from the other side of the door. 'YES!' I thought. I was so excited to go. It had been the number one place I had wanted to go since Draco and Xavier had told me about it. I mean, moving staircases and portraits, the best food, you just can’t not want to go! I hurriedly put a Muggle outfit, which was a lavender-colored sweater and tight jeans that Father was so reluctant to buy, and scurried down the stairs into the kitchen, where I gobbled up my breakfast Dobby made. “Well, someone’s outta bed,” Xavier said to me smiling. “Oh stop,” I said back playfully with a grin. ——— At thirty minutes until we were going to go, Father walked into the room with an angry frown. “Ashlee, hurry up or we’ll be late,” Father said upset. “You know,” I said in a fake puzzlement, “I wonder… why does it look like I’m ready but no one else is? Hmm, this is complicated.” “Stop speaking to me like that! You know what?” he lowered his voice, “I’m /glad/ your getting out of this house, you ungrateful abomination.” I gave him a small smirk and said, “You might be, but I’m more happy that I don’t have to see you for ten months,” I said smiling nastily. Good thing Draco walked in before he could respond. “Ah, Draco, you!re ready, I suppose?” “Not yet, Father, I need to have breakfast first, then I’m ready.” /See/ I thought to myself as if speaking to Father /Draco ain’t ready, why say that to someone who is ready?/ “Xavier, Ashy, Draco, c’mon we to get to King’s Cross soon or we’ll be late!” Mother said to the three of us, walking into the kitchen. We did, again, Side-Along Apparation to get to London, and we would carry the trunks into King’s Cross Station. ——— We got to King’s Cross, and Draco went through the barrier to show me how to get through the barrier, then Xavier did it. It was my turn now. I looked around to make sure that no Muggles were looking my way, then I ran full-speed at the wall. I closed my eye hard in case I wouldn’t go through. When I didn’t feel anything, I opened them. There was a large, rusty-red train. “So, Ash, how was your first time running through the barrier?” Xavier asked me. “Amazing.” A minute or so later, I saw Mother and Father as they walked towards us. “Oh, bye, Xavier, Draco. Ashy, don’t worry about much while you’re there, just do what you know is right, don’t get into any trouble, and whatever you do, do /not/ mess with Peeves,” Mother said to me. “Alright,” I said back and she gave me a warm smile. Father didn’t care to say bye 7 til Mother ordered him to. “Bye,” I said after he did. ——— I didn’t have much trouble finding an empty compartment as we came so early. “Xavier, where’re you going?” I asked him as he went farther back. “I’m seeing, well, I’ll show you her,” he said. A couple minutes later, he came back in with a girl with long brown hair. “Ash, this’s Roselette, Roselette Black,” Xavier said to me. “Rosie, that’s my sister Ashlee.” She smiled at me as she put a lock of her wavy hair behind her ear. “Here, we need to go,” Xavier said. “Sorry, to leave you, Ash.” Of course. I was always second-best, and was always put after someone. I learned that by living with Father. Well, I bet one or two people might come in here…. Maybe. ——— About twenty or so minutes later, a three girls walk towards me. “Hey, we were wondering if we could sit here,” the first said. This one had black hair. “Er— sure,” I said back. “Thanks,” another said to me, and she had . “Who are you all?” I asked them. “Patricia Sinistra,” she said, pointing to herself, “Sarah San Diego,” she pointed to another girl, again with black hair, “and Ivy Lapis.” She then gestured to the third girl who had wavy blonde hair. ——— We were talking, eating when some lady with a bunch of food came around, and having a blast. I never really had many friends outside the family, because I usually didn’t speak to them all that much, not to mention all the kids at the old Muggle schools were, well, Muggles. But still, they were all very nice to me, and I started using my little Metamorphmagi power thingies to make them laugh. “Do your hair green again!” Ivy said, giggling. I made my normally long, light brown hair into a short green hairstyle that pretty much looked pathetic. ——— Too soon, the conductor said we would be stopping in an hour, so me, Sarah, Ivy, and Patricia put a pair of plain black robes on and got ready for the stop, now in forty-five minutes. I can’t wait!
