[@ceebee’s ORIGINAL instructions] The first week of Scratch Camp is officially here and we're diving into the magical world of Rainforests! Did you know there are different types of rainforests? Tropical rainforests are usually what people think of when they think of a rainforest but the kind that I think of first is called a temperate rainforest. Temperate rainforests are rainforests with "coniferous or broadleaf forests that occur in the temperate zone and receive heavy rain" (direct quote from wikipedia). Where I grew up is fortunate enough to be relatively close to one of these types of rainforests and so I thought I would make something inspired by the magical feeling I got when I visited for the first time. A note that I did not see any fireflies there but I took some creative liberties with this one because fireflies give me that same kind of magical feeling :P This is a parallax project - move your mouse around to see the artwork move.
