But strong women athletes worked really hard to change that. Now, women play all kinds of sports and are amazing at them. They win medals, break records, and inspire others. It's been a big journey, but women's sports are now really popular and exciting to watch! My sport is hockey, I have been playing since I was 3. It's crazy to think about how far women's hockey has come. When I was little, people didn't really take girls hockey seriously. We had to fight for ice time and good equipment. But now, there are so many little girls dreaming of playing hockey! We have amazing leagues, packed arenas, and even the Olympics! It's like a whole new world for hockey players. I'm so proud to be part of a sport that's breaking barriers and inspiring the next generation. I help out with the little kid teams a lot! and it is good to know that the sport I love is continuing to grow! we even have a try hockey for free night and the amount of support we get is amazing! And with the new professional league, it's like a dream come true. We can now get paid to play the game we love, in front of packed arenas. It's a huge step forward for women's sports.
