BRO, STOP SAYING "WHAT'S WRONG WITH NO HOPE" AND SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE DANG DESCRIPTION. Using the same tierlist template as the Pizza Tower soundtrack project, I made a list ranking every song in Mario's Madness V2. Remember, this is my own opinion. If you have a different opinion on any of the songs and want to show it, you can remix this project and show your opinions. Some of my opinions and their reasons: Starman Slaughter is lowkey one of the best ones; the melody is really smooth. I love how crazy they went with the metal type for this one. Bad Day is one of my personal favorites just because of how silly it is. Its nod to the SMW remix of Avicii's Levels is a really fun idea for a song. Also the Good Feeling motif hits different. The new version of Powerdown is really impressive; they really upped their game with this song, as well as Demise. Idk if they intended to reference the Game Over poses but if they did I'm glad. Unbeatable is awesome. The ominous feel with the repetitive "YOU CANNOT BEAT US" line is really cool. The buildup near the end of Level 4 hypes me up every time. I LOVE OVERDUE. IT SOUNDS AMAZING. ENOUGH SAID. Changing my opinion on Apparition... after some more time listening to it, it sounds really good and I love some of the note patterns it has. After some time listening to Alone V2 I like it a lot better. The beginning was super depressing which was why I wasn't hooked on it at first, and I kind of ignored it until actually deciding to listen to the rest of the song, and the rest of it sounded great! The part with the Mario portrait to the end is my favorite part. I've changed the spots for Dark Forest and Thalassophobia because after some more time listening to them I actually like them a lot better. Nourishing Blood, Last Course, Paranoia, and Promotion are being moved up to the banger category because after some more time listening to them they've become some of my favorite songs in the mod. I also moved So Cool up there because I like the chill beat it has. The songs in the "Nice" area are there because I find them good to listen to but wouldn't really want to listen to if I didn't have to. So there's context for ya. Okay, I moved Race Traitors back up to the "nice" area. Similar to some other songs, after some time listening to it, it's fine. My only real problem with it is the vocals; I preferred the screaming Mario voicelines over the new ones because the old chromatic added a sense of humor to the song, which is its purpose. No Hope just sounds really weird to me. It's real slow and the quick note patterns are kinda jank. Like I said before, slower songs aren't my thing. It's cool in its own way, but I don't prefer stuff like this most of the time.
