How the octave slider can be used: The slider for "octave" shifts the pitch of NEWLY PLACED notes up or down. Set the octave slider BEFORE placing the notes you want it to affect. They will all retain individual octave values, even if you change the slider again later. This is only reset when the note is deleted and another replaces it.
