I think I know too much. Anakin and Padme? Seriously? When did that happen? Not only that, but Rex knew! And he kept their secret! I discovered it completely by accident. I literally walked into a room. And there they were. Acting like fools, with not a care in the world. “Anakin? Senator AMIDALA?!” I remember the look on Anakin’s face when he turned around. He opened and closed his mouth a few times, but said nothing. “It’s not as bad as it looks, I promise.” Padmé said, but her voice shook. “Not as bad as it looks? Anakin is a Jedi! Emotionally attachment is not allowed!” I had exclaimed. Anakin remained speechless. “You two can either end this, or I’ll have to report you to the Jedi Council.” I said calmly. “Please, Calypso! We can’t! You must know what love is, and how it feels!” Padmé looked like she was on the verge of tears. I laughed incredulously. “I’m sorry, but no. It is forbidden in the Jedi order, and I never had any family, so I don’t understand.” I said quietly. Padmé looked taken aback. “Fix it, or you get reported.” At dinner, I felt strangely numb. I felt no regret for how I spoke to Anakin and Padmé. How peculiar. Rex told me he knew about a week or so later. I wasn’t surprised, to be honest. Him and Skywalker are best buddies. But the conversation was awkward. For some reason, I don’t enjoy the company of anyone at the moment. Maybe it’ll wear off. Maybe it won’t. We’ll have to wait and see.
