Chapter 14 (Collin) Shoot. It was a howler. Collin’s fingers trembled as he held the smoking red envelope. His failure living up to the Malfoy legacy would be on display for the whole school. “What’s wrong?” Awen asked, leaning over to examine Collin’s letter. “Oof, a howler. Well, good luck with that I suppose.” They scooted farther away from Collin. He rubbed his temples. He could handle it. Collin took a deep breath and tore the howler open. “COLLIN!” Bellowed the angry voice of Draco Malfoy “YOU ARE A DISGRACE TO THIS FAMILY! WORSE THAN YOUR BROTHER! HUFFLEPUFF? THAT’S NEARLY AS BAD AS GRYFFINDOR! GOOD FOR NOTHING HUFFLEPUFFS! IT SUITS YOU! YOU BRING SHAME UPON OUR GOOD NAME! YOU ARE A FAILURE!” Collin covered his face in his hands. Sobbed quietly. Once breakfast finished he darted out of the hall, only slowing when he noticed Callie coming after him. He stopped. “Hey.” She said. “Hi” Collin breathed, hoping he didn’t look as embarrassed as he felt. “Um, I just wanted to say. I have dad problems too. Y’know?” Callie sighed. “Yeah.” Collin squeaked. “And um, maybe you wanna hang out with me sometime?” Callie asked. //YESYESYESYESYESYES// Collin thought. “My friends are really nice, they’ll let you into the group.” “YEAH!” He shrieked. “I mean, um yeah, that sounds good. Really good. Really really—uh.” Collin cut himself off before he could embarrass himself further. “Cool.” Callie said. “It’s a date.” “A date.” Collin repeated. “Oh!” Callie flushed. “Not like that, but um, Y’know, I’ve gotta get to class. Bye!” “Wait!” Collin had one more question. “Yeah?” Callie asked. “Um, Geraldine. Her hair was green today. Was that you?” Collin rambled. Callie smirked. “I know some people.”
