Title: What I've just found in the trash can area at my secondary block of flats? C2A Well, I've just found: 6 Windows laptops. 3 Windows desktops. 2 vintage mouses. 2 vintage keyboards. 2 vintage LCD monitors. 1 modern USB mouse. 1 modern USB keyboard. 1 modern LCD monitor. I tested all that stuff, all of the PCs were running like brand new! Even the 2003 Dell Optiplex GX620 with an Intel Pentium 4 processor and only 1 GB of RAM still runs very well for it's age! And as for the newest PC of the lot which is the 2019 Dell Precision 7730, it's ULTRA FAST! Why? Because it's got an Intel Core i9 CPU and 128 GB of RAM! These specs are just totally insane! Plus, the RAM and HDD/SSD can be upgraded on ALL of these PCs apart from the 2014 ThinkPad X1 Carbon and some laptops have semi-soldered RAM (Unfortunately my Dell Latitude 5289 has soldered RAM which is the worst thing about it and I find that unacceptable for a Latitude but luckily, the SSD is still modular, so it's still not as bad as newer Macs but I switched to a Latitude 5310 which is upgradable and kept the 5289 for backup)! So, there is absolutely NO EXCUSE to throw these thing in the garbage! In fact, DO NOT THROW PCs in the bin! This is improper disposal of electronic devices. This can accidentally set the dumpster truck on fire (Due to the battery)! BTW the ThinkPad X1 Carbon has 16 GB RAM and the ASUS ZenBook can have a hinge problem, but luckily, this 1 doesn't. Anyway, take a look at this collection of PCs. Also, I found that the person who owned this stuff is actually a teen. And all of the stuff I collected was actually her collection of PCs along with her daily driver which is of course that 2019 Dell Precision 7730 bought second hand in June 2024 and the price was more than $1000 which doesn't surprise me at all... A week ago all of the collection has been confiscated by her grandma who is actually a Karen. She confiscated those computers for that reason: Watching DieselDucy and Beno YT videos for just 15 minutes! Then, the teen's grandpa went to this block of flats as 1 of his friends lives there and he put the whole collection in the trash can area! Also, the teen's mom caught the grandma and grandpa secretly putting the stuff in grandpa's pickup to get rid of it but they both threathened the mom by saying "Don't tell anything to anyone or else BANG!". BTW, the PCs were confiscated at the teen's apartment building at El Garcia, ST... I'm gonna go there and give her PC's back and I will investigate and try to get those horrid grandparents arrested! And will help me investigating! And also, the teen, her mom and her dad hated those grandparents since that teen was 7 (back in 2014) and mom said "They're even worse than school bullies!!!!" Anyway I need someone to drive me and my friend to El Garcia with a van or a pickup (for the computers and all that other stuff). UPDATE: The Dell Optiplex 3010 is actually from 2012, not 2014 and the Asus Zenbook is from 2016.
