The Cursed Child rewrite Chapter three: Warmth of coffee Draco sat up, yawning. The soft sunlight came through the window of the morning. The birds softly chirped and sang. He got out of his bed, putting on his slippers and going downstairs. It was weird without Scorpius. He missed the young boy's presence already. He hated bringing him to Hogwarts, he was even thinking about home schooling. But that's unfair, just because he was lonely doesn't mean Scorpius should be. Scorpius was a good kid, unlike him. He always thought Scorpius would be in Hufflepuff. He felt something brush against his legs, he saw a white fluffy cat with pretty green eyes. It wasnt his, it was his brother's. But he was out on vacation, so he was taking care of the sweet thing. He looked at the coffee pot. It was like it was begging him to make coffee, so he did. He got out the coffee grounds that smelled so bittersweet and reminded him of his co-worker's house. He quickly made the coffee, waiting for it to finish. He works at St mungo's as a children's nurse. Which he loves to do. He loves to give them candy and say they did well, watch their faces light up. Which he never got to because he had his own healer as a kid. Which was a very strict old woman. His mind trailed to his co-worker. A fellow nurse, who was great with kids and even had one of his own. He made sure they were happy and well taken care of. It made him admire the other nurse. A soft beep singling his coffee was done. He grabbed a cup and poured the dark black coffee. It smelled just like h̲i̲m̲. He sipped the coffee, looking at the white cat eating, He looked at the clock, it said 8:00 am. He has an hour to get to work. Which is fine, he'll make it. He gave the cat a few scratches, before going upstairs and getting ready.
