this is how i draw people!! :) it may be a bit confusing- i'm not the best at instructions step 1: find a reference image you like step 2: make this jelly bean shape with a circle head and some general idea of where limbs will go step 3: add the lines on the circle that give an idea of where your character is looking step 4: i added some circles to figure out where the eyes nose and mouth will go + some lines for a general idea of legs step 5: find a specific area to focus on in detail- i chose the shirt & shoulder area :) step 6: i like to do half of the limbs to keep the drawing from looking stiff- idk why but it kinda works lol step 7: finished & added details to arm step 8: make an oven mitt hand as a guideline (ik there are probably better ways to do this) step 9: erase jelly bean gently and begin to add more clothes step 10: do that weird half and half thing with the legs- i also added a line through the jelly bean which twists in the direction that the person is turned step 11: finished the legs step 12: started on the purse & other arm step 13-14: idrk i just kinda looked at the arm for a while and struggled to make it look arm-ish step 15: fixed some angles, added collar bones step 16: LEGWARMERS :D step 17: started shoes step 18: adding lines so ik where the hair goes, added the heart on the shirt step 19: started on the mouth step 20: tried to make the circle look like a nose step 21: erased guidelines more, defined eye shapes, made the nose a circle again step 22: added irises to eyes :) step 23: added brows and started making the hat step 24: decided i didn't like the nose and stuff so i erased :( step 25: added details to eyes, restarted nose, redid brows step 26: redid mouth and added to nose step 27: added lips step 28: bangs step 29: she has hair now yas step 30: started working on the oven mitt hand step 31: did the hand (it was torture) and added a few face details step 32: colored in arm warmer, added pleats to skirt, added more hair step 33: added skirt details + belt + hand on hip step 34: started adding her purse step 35: (next day bc it was late when i started) finished the purse finally :D step 36: colored in purse strap step 37: i begin the journey that is leg details step 38: the journey has ended, i added detailed the legwarmers and shoess step 39: idrk what changed from here i think i just added more small details.
