i've been on scratch for about 4-5 years now. i've had fun playing games and making friends. but the longer i've stayed, the more i've realized this isn't the place for me anymore. i've experienced firsthand at how terrible the moderation system is, how innocent people get banned over and over, how people abuse the report button here. getting any sort of popularity is hard. scratch has been not-so-sneakily blocking out the voices of minorities and marginalized groups. i think the tip of the iceberg was scratch suddenly considering using ai. for a website with such a large art community, this is some frustrating news. i've come to terms with the fact that i'm growing out of this site and that i can't be on here forever. does this mean an final, real goodbye? somewhat. i’ll pop in to check on my old moots every now and then, but for the most part, i just dont need scratch anymore. my new school allows me to use my phone at lunch and stuff so i really dont need scratch to trashpost or art dump or whatever, i can just post stuff elsewhere or talk to friends. i think not having my phone w me during breaks was kinda the main reason ive stayed on scratch for so long. and now that that’s not a problem anymore… i dont see a reason to stay. that's all for now, and i hope you enjoy the rest of your time on scratch! there is nothing to see inside this project. art by me (@tinyhen ) character (azzy, my truesona) belongs to me, was designed by @mcat12357updates , and was edited by me.
