alternate title: psych ward simulator v1.0 i was thinking about making a small game on my main! (my stuff is finally coming out of drafts…. whooaahh….) so to work out some mechanics i made a room base :D scratch cat was a bit of a weird choice of a motion rig model but i could NOT be bothered to make my own today. if anyone thinks the scratch cat looks weird no he doesn’t. he got all of his limbs sliced in half leave him alone. (real explanation is just that i refuse to rig joints but its okay if he looks a little uncanny we thug it out.) grid is mostly for my own reference so please excuse the fact that it’s uneven <//3 i also tried to add some props to interact with (flat wall prop plus room prop) but that’s all i could be bothered to do for this template hence why this is so mental institution core. it is also why the door does not open.. i didn’t want to make another room model <//3 interacting with the props or trying to move into their space also includes a dialogue prompt! since i don’t have a very good textscroll code, the placeholder i used is VERY lag inducing if you have lots of dialogue (fortunately in my case it’s only a few sentences) so i don’t recommend using it (in a dialogue heavy game for example) but if you want to use it as a base to code a more consolidated version go right ahead!.. and maybe share your version with me pleeeaseeee project is mobile friendly! keycap sprites allow you to move just like wasd/arrow keys on pc, furniture items are clickable & interactable, click/space to skip the scroll animation on the textbox all that good stuff all the code - and i mean ALL the code (95% of it) is contained in the right arm sprite. don’t ask me why i picked this sprite specifically idk either there’s scripts for days in there, so if you’re interested on all the hard work and suffering that goes into making something that looks as simple as this, go ahead and take a gander! careful though cause you might lag out if you have a buggy computer, and for the same reason i don’t recommend running the project while in ‘see inside’ mode cause things tend to break :/ tcg sim coming next everyone get hyped FEATURES - fully rigged model with moving parts and four different perspective settings - motion constraints to prevent clipping through walls or props (built in input overload protector) - interactable props: flat wall prop & 3d floor prop - layering modifiers for model based on perspective - layering modifiers for props based on position - scrolling dialogue box + scroll skip code CREDITS - coding by - scratch cat sprite from the scratch sprite library - rigging by - keycap sprites from iconexperience.com - text font by - door, bed, and room models by - text sfx from omori - locked door sfx by sound library (yt)
