Keep in mind, she is not a vessel, mainly cause of the fact she's gendered. The shapes represent her friends: The triangle represents her friend Ketan, who was a mantis, the square represents her friend Faol, who is whatever the kind of bug The Hunter is, the hexagon represents her friend Amjeal, who is/was a butterfly (specifically based on the Polygonia c-album/comma) and the circle represents her. I will tell you guys some more lore later, I'm getting tired of typing. Edit: OKAY MORE LORE LESS FRICKING GOOO So, as you may have noticed, Stala has her respective shape on her head. All of her friends have their respective shapes on their heads. The reason to this is because they were all born into a sort of community thing, one where all kinds of bugs could live together. The shapes were painted on them to show they were part of the community, and were meant to be removed when they were adults, but never were after Ketan died, Faol ran away, Amjeal went missing (he's presumed dead), and Stala got infected.
