It’s been a long time since my old Master has spoken to me. That’s why I’m questioning his summons to the Jedi Temple ship hangers. But of course I’m going anyway. When I arrive, he looks up with a worried expression on his face. “Calypso, you need to get out of here. They want to put you on the high council.” He says, his voice a concerned whisper. “Why would I want to leave where they’re about to do that?! Are you out of your mind?” I exclaimed. “Keep your voice down, someone will hear us! You need to leave. Take this ship.” He turns around a pulls the sheet off a starship. “But we claimed that on a mission to stop the Deathwatch, why would I take it back?” I asked, completely confused. “I can’t explain everything here. Take the ship back to Concordia. Give them this.” He holds out a letter that looked as though it had been written a long time ago, and had just been left to gather dust in the back of a cupboard. “Why, Master Windu, why? I really don’t understand. What is going on?” “I told you, I can’t explain here! Just go, please.” He’s pleading with me now. I see the look of fear in my Master’s normally unreadable eyes. “Ok, I’ll go.” I give in. This is intriguing me now. “Take the ship. There’s already a bag of things in it. Don’t come back.” I gasp. “What?! Don’t come back?!” “Please, Calypso, don’t argue, just go.” “Alright, I guess.” My head is a raging storm of doubts and worries. Why is he doing this? And why can’t I come back? “Thank you Calypso. May the force with you.” He says. “And also with you, Master.” As I take off in the ship, only then do I begin to realise what I’ve done. There’s no turning back now, I tell myself. But now I fly towards the truth.
