I want to throw my computer to the other end of the room. *Deep breaths* Also this was gonna be longer but the bad word detector is losing its mind about everything I do ////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Raph's POV Mikey was making dinner, Donnie was doing some science thing in his lab, and Leo was watching Inside the Mind of a Cat on his phone, which left me alone with nothing to do. I searched The Lair for Alia. I still thought keeping her was a bad idea, but she sure was cute. "Alia! where are you? Big Raphie wants a snuggle!" "She might be in my room," Leo called. "She likes napping on my pillow." I went into Leo's room, and sure enough, there was Alia asleep on the pillow. I started tiptoeing toward her, sure I wasn't making a sound, when her ears shot up. She lifted her head, saw me, and ran away. "Alia! Where you goin'? I chased after her. Alia ran across the hall to Donnie's room, and he dropped what he was doing when she came in. "Alia? What's wrong?" She jumped into his arms, trembling. I slowly followed her in. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you." "I am pretty certain you're not supposed to chase around small animals, Raphael." "I just wanna pet her." I reached toward her, and she swiped at me, claws outstreched. "Ow! She scratched me!" "Yeah, she's a cat. Cats do that when they're scared and/or terrified." "Why would she be scared of me? Pets love me!" "Yeah, you really proved that with Mayhem." "Mayhem loves me. He just likes April better." "Raph, you're a giant spiky mutant. You should probably give Alia some time to get used to you before you try petting her." "Donnie, it'll be fine." I took Alia out of his arms. "Raph, no!" Alia hissed at me and spat something green in my face. It was burning me! I dropped Alia and tried to get the thing off. "Raph, don't move!" There was a splash of water, and the thing was gone. I blinked the water out of my eyes and saw Donnie standing in front of me holding an empty bucket. Alia wasn't in the room. "What was that?" "That, dear brother, was a flaming furball." I searched his face for any sign that he was joking, but his expression was dead serious. Donnie's POV My watch beeped, I checked it, and my heart sank. "Alia is up on the surface!" "Wait, really?" Raph grabbed my wrist and looked at my watch. "How'd she get up there so fast? Wait, do you have a tracker on her?" I yanked my arm away. "Cats are fast, Raph. And of course I have a tracker on a cat dragon hybrid! I'm getting Leo." I started toward the door, but Raph blocked it. "No! If you tell Leo I lost his cat he'll be crushed!" "Why does everyone think Nardo is the sole owner of the cat?" "We can find her ourselves!" "You were the one who lost her in the first place." "No, I can help! If she's in any kind of danger I can protect her! I promise!" I was perfectly capable of protecting Alia on my own, but I knew he wouldn't let me leave until I agreed. "Fine.
