ASL fingerspelling for the recipient's name. 5. Attack on a slasher! He was an ex-cheerleader, so I drew the cover of We Are The Tigers, a cheerleader murder mystery musical. Really proud of how the pom-pom turned out, but unsatisfied with how I use three-dimensional form. Certainly something to practice. 6. My friend's OC always reminded me of Papyrus. Wonder why :-) 9. This little creature immediately struck me as Digimon-esque! The hatching took a bit but it was fun to work with the harsh blacks. 10. I tried a new brush out on the 9th piece and this really showed some of its tooth and flow-- it's in the lines on the skeleton's cloak. 11. Fun to adapt a formal suit into something astronaut-y! 12. Really proud of this composition and color palette. I don't usually work with four arms, but it set up a nice Hanged Man tarot look to go with clock hands. Circles around and flows well! 13. The grass took a while but I enjoyed the flow! Also an attempt at shortening the amount of time shading took. I copy the color layer, keep the alpha lock to recolor it to white, then add an inner glow of whatever shading color I have, and set it to multiply. Then, any extra edits are added. 14. So too here. Again, I colored the lineart with regards to shading, contrast, and interest. Could have been better but m. 15. Entity swap AUs for my TMA OCs, Ziggy and Merel! Ziggy is a Flesh avatar inspired by coydogs. The left is them as Stranger (note the nose and hair being different). Here, the horror of the Stranger is played as having your situationship come back from an extremely traumatizing environment neurotypical and happily destransitioned. The right sketches are Ziggy as Corruption, which is basically the same as canon with a lack of healing factor. 16-17. Spiral!Merel. Here, instead of being VivziePop in design, the Spiral's lies are used as a metaphor for autistic masking and corporate positivity. 18. Merel works at a tech company for VR. With the Buried, her story's themes of dehumanization are manifested through the blood weight going into computers. Her curly hair is a very nice design feature for her canon Vast alignment, being a visual simile for fog. Here, it is straightened. 19. More Artfight! This character got obsessed with a tear in the void and has fledgling wings-- Icarus and House of Leaves came to mind, obsession and hubris. 20. My first traditional attack, I think! Collage based on a photograph of two electricians called The Kiss of Life. This fellow used to be studying religion, but became an electrician. 21. Y2K! This is the version I saved without the text, which was an original snippet based on a Neil Cicierega project of Windows unreality. Very objecto :3 22. Asher Bliss, a TMA RP OC. Too many acronyms! He's a Desolation avatar, born 1995, died 2011, but was resurrected in 2016 because the internet didn't believe he was dead. He's marked by the Hunt as a result. Based on the Desolation as unusual or unsolved deaths/losses, rather than just fire. 23. Same RP, a fellow known only by their surname, Adams. Here, she's pictured without her hat. He's an avatar of the Dark, and considers it a triple god: Obscura (superstition, the magical unknown), Absentia (the scientific unknown), and Catatonia (the guardian that stops you from seeing things that are dangerous). Alice's hair was a lot of fun to color, even though it's mostly blocked in the final piece. I really want to do those crystallizations where a block is mostly one or two similar colors, and then has stray foggy strands of its opposite. 26.
