Wow I drew a thumbnail! It actually looks good kinda??? :0 Donnie simps beware >:) ////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Donnie's POV Dumb- dumb Raph scaring the dumb- dumb cat and causing this whole dumb- dumb mess. Not letting me tell my dumb- dumb twin about the dumb- dumb cat getting loose in the dumb- dumb city. If Leo were here, our task would be much easier, but NOOO, Raph had to be selfish! "Donnie, you know you're talking out loud, right?" "Of course I know that, Raphael." "I'm not selfish. I fully belive we can do this ourselves." I gave him a death glare to shut him up. "She's not far. Try and keep up." I activated my jet pack and took off, not bothering to check if Raph followed. According to my watch, Alia was in an alleyway between two short buildings. I touched down and started climbing slowly down the fire escape, for fear of scaring Alia. "Alia, where are you? It's me, Donnie." I heard a meow coming from the shadows. I started walking toward the sound. "I'm gonna take you home. Don't worry, Raph's not here." I saw her poke her head out of the shadows. Luckily, she looked uninjured. "Donnie! I'm comin'!" Raph yelled as he fell off the building. He landed on a dumpster with an earsplitting bang. Alia spat a green fireball in his direction, and it accidentally hit my arm. "Gah! Get it off!" I tried patting the flames, then yanked off my glove. I did it so fast my watch came off in the process and fell to the ground. Crack! "No!" I threw my glove into a puddle and examined the watch. It was definetly broken. And Alia was nowhere to be seen. "Dangit!" I stood up and kicked the dumpster, a descision I emmideatley regretted. "Ow! Ow ow ow! Dangit!" I sat down and rubbed my toe. Raph lifted his head. "Donnie? Are you okay? What happened?" "You!" I stood again and pointed my broken watch at him. "I almost had Alia, but you scared her AGAIN and made her burn my glove and break my watch!" I threw it on the ground and it shattered. "Now we have no way to track her!" "Uh- it's okay! You just gotta use your big brain and fix it!" "Think, Raph. All my tools are in my battle shell. My watch controlls the battle shell. But now that the watch is broken...?" "You... can't use your tools?" "Bingo!" I sat down and buried my face in my hands. "We'll find her! Because we have-" "Raph, if you say teamwork I will actually punch you in the face." "We have... A positive attitude!" "Raph, I told you not to come! I knew you would do more harm than good, and waddya know, I was right! Why couldn't you let me do this myself?" "Because-" "Because I'm evil?" My words scilenced him. "Who's there?" The new voice startled me. I jumped onto the fire escape, and Raph tried to hide behind the dumpster. "I can see you," the person said. I couldn't see much details in the darkness, but I could tell they were in a wheelchair. "Come out." I decided there was no harm in speaking. "You're going to scream the second you see us." I was suprised when they laughed. "Maybe. Or maybe you'll scream when you see me. We'll see how it plays out." I hesitated. "Raph, I think it's safe," I said, getting off the fire escape. We emerged from the shadows. To their credit, the person didn't scream, they just examined us. Now that we were up close, I could see them better. They looked about my age and had vitiligo. Their hair was shoulder- length, and each of their eyes were a different color. "I'm Jay," They said, holding a hand out. They were missing two fingers. "They/Them," they added nervously. I took their hand and shook it, suprised at how calm they were being. "Donatello. He/Him. This is my brother Raphael." I couldn't help staring at their legs. Or rather lack of legs. "I was born like that." "What?" "I see you eyeing my legs." "Yeah, Donnie," Raph said. "Don't be rude." I dropped Jay's hand and turned to look at Raph. "Raph, I'm still mad at you for multiple reasons. Don't talk to me." "Not to be rude, but what are you guys?" Jay asked. They were still amazingly calm. "We're turtles that mutated and became part human," Raph said. I glared at him. "What? I'm talkin' to them, not you." "Am I inturrupting something?" "Nothing important," I told them as I took my glove out of the puddle. "Ew. I sincerely wish we could converse further, but unfourtunatley we have important matters to attend to." I picked up the remains of my watch and tried to decide what to do with it. "That's it. I'm calling Leo." This time Raph didn't object as I put my glove down to take my phone out. I noticed Jay still hadn't left. "Shouldn't you be getting home?" They looked at the ground. "What is it?" "I- I don't..." They took a shaky breath. "My parents- my parents disowned me." I could tell it was taking every ounce of their energy not to cry. "I- I told them I was... And they just..." Their shoulders shook as they clutched their armrests. CONT-
CONT- For some reason, I felt the need to comfort them. I stepped forward and grabbed their hand, and they looked up at me, tears in their eyes. "I am very, very sorry that happened to you. Two verys." They searched my face. "Why are you being so nice to me? I just met you." I bent down and hugged them. "I guess I'm just an unusually nice person." "That's not true. I just watched you yell at your brother. ...But thanks." They hugged me back. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////// End of chapter 6 Song: Cavetown- Devil town Next: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1058433426/ Previous: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1057276364/ First: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1053247310/
