In Year 53, I reminisce Of my youth, of love and bliss Therista, my heart's delight Once promised to meet me in the night But now this supermarket's bare No food left, no love to share I drown my sorrows in vodka's fire As death's icy hand grips me to expire I collapse on my compost pile Therista arrives, expecting a smile Instead, she finds my lifeless shell And in her sorrow, she wails and yells I breathe my last, she's left alone To wander aimlessly on her own Some stories end in pain and grief No solace, no joy, only disbelief In Year 53, my final chapter's told My soul departs, my body cold Therista weeps, her heart torn apart As I depart this world, the end of my heart.
A huge thank you to the youtuber MattPatt for his amazing theory videos and for the inspiration of this poem!
