The more science dives deeper, so does the knowledge of a creator or intelligent designer.17 The reason for this is the more science discovers, the more it realizes how complicated the world is, how well fine-tuned the universe is. Science deals with physics, which looks at the natural world, but God deals in metaphysics meaning beyond the natural world.18 God does do things within the natural world but also does things outside the physical world. That is why Christians class things as supernatural or miracles. An Atheist scientist can be sceptic of this and can class these cases as coincidences, but that is because people cannot put an intelligent designer in a box. He will do things that do not work within the scientific mindset to remind us that he is God, and there is an intelligent being out there. The fine-tuning of the universe does require a level of faith. However, atheists would argue against the fine-tuning argument with the multiverse model. However, in doing so, they have set themselves into a faith position. A multiverse has countless possibilities and beliefs that have not been tested and proven. This requires more faith because Christianity requires people to have one faith position, to believe in an intelligent designer, instead of a belief that has countless possibilities.19 As David Hume states, “A miracle is a violation of the laws of nature…”20 A miracle violates the laws of nature. Some people need to remember that science is not just a list of facts or theories, and it is a way to understand the natural world by observing, experimenting, and then attempting to find cause and effect relationships.21 So if a miracle violates the natural law that means science cannot explain it, experiment on it or find cause and effect. It just means it happened outside the scientific mindset. Only an intelligent creator or God has the power to violate something outside nature; mother nature does not, and so cannot science. Lastly, why do faith and science exist? As mentioned earlier, they answer different questions. It is important to note that the bible does not tell us to not believe in evidence. Faith, however, requires us to trust in some evidence, not in no evidence.22 Alternatively, Faith is a belief in what is promised that has been shown through evidence.23 Faith and science do answer different questions, but as seen, faith needs science. Science seeks out the things that God chooses to conceal, which then builds up faith. However, as much as faith needs science, science also needs faith. Take cloning or genetic engineering, for example. Science says we can do it, but faith asks us should we do it.24 Faith answers the moral questions that science cannot answer. Science without faith has no moral compass and will go in any direction and will go in areas that humans should not venture. However, faith by itself will not answer those questions that people have. It needs evidence. Faith requires evidence or some evidence but not for people to follow blindly as they did in the past. So do Faith and Science go together? The answer is yes, because they cover each other's weaknesses and balance each other out and a miracle is to remind the science that there is a God or intelligent designer and science is to remind Christians to go out and discover what God has concealed for the delight in learning more about the designer, the God who made all of the heavens, and all the natural world. 22
