Henlo everybody! Bet you were expecting this project Ok so I just realized the title makes it seem like I got cancelled or something but like- idk I’m too lazy to change it. I PROMISE U I DID NOT GET CANCELLED THO LOL Anyway let’s get into why I haven’t been as active, a bit into my life, and what to expect Why I haven’t been as active - I think I’ve said this before but thought id go into more detail: I’m just not as interested in scratch as I was in 2021-2023. It got tiring trying to make my projects as cool as possible only to get lie 50 views at the most and 5 at the least. Sure, other social medias may have that issue as well, but at least on those I don’t need to code an entire post just to get barely any views! It’s just add image, add title, desc, setting, and BOOM ur done. And yes, you can do that here to, but you don’t wanna make a stupid project with next to no effort put into, HUH?? NO SIR-E YOU GOTTA HAVE AT LEAST 1000 FOLLOWS FOR THAT!!! And sure, things like animations and such take a while to make with editing apps too, but try making a simple head bop animation on scratch and then try making one on something like alight motion or flip a clip or heck, EVEN CAPCUT!!!(Capcut does have animation stuff on it, yknow) You tell me which one is easier. And you wanna now WHY this happens? It’s cause scratch has no PERSONALIZATION!!! Look at YouTube, what does it show you? Stuff based on what you watch most? Creatures you seem to enjoy? What about something different like Pinternet. It shows you pins based on what you search and what you save! Now what does scratch have? The “What’s happening” and “Projects loved by scratchers I’m following” tabs. No recommendations or “Because yu frequently search this” or anything like that. Sure, we have the explore page and you can search what you want, but even if you do that it will show you there most popular stuff on whatever you’re looking at! And you wanna know why scratch doesnt have anything more? CAUSE ITS A CHILDREN’S LEARNING WEBSITE!!!! Of course they’re gonna show the most popular projects, its so that little kids can can look inside the project and see the amazing code they use, then use that code themselves or make something inspired by it. ITS LITERALLY A KIDS WEBSITE INFESTED BY TEENAGERS AND ADULTS!! I honestly didn’t mean for that rant to happen but i put effort into it so I’m keeping it in. Anyway onto the next thing. A bit into my life: So, grade reveal i guess, this is my last day of summer break before I start high school tomorrow. I’m literally tying this on my school iPad. I’ve been living right next to my grandma for about 7 months now, and i started a job at the end of may. Apart from that, nothing real big has happened to me. I’m pretty sure I’ve already mentioned that i started going to public school at the start of February and I got a dog but just in case I didn’t, uhh I switched from online to public school in feb and got a dog at the end of Jan. So yeah. I got nothing else to say for this segment so onto the next one I suppose. What to Expect: So just because I’m not as active as I was doesn’t mean I’m not going to disappear from scratch entirely like someone.. *ahem* ENE-/JKJK I’ll still be letting new members into the anime and Gacha studio and doing my anti-bimonthly art dumps and probably accepting trades a- well you get my point XD. Now, to people that have been around for a year or two, you’re probably wondering “Well mini, what about your yearly birthday DMCs?” And to that I SAYY I’m most likely not doing one this year. I’m not active enough and I don’t feel like making a contest. I mean if enough of your guys want one by maybe the start of September I’ll probabaly try to make something, but if you wanna make me something for my birthday then just make me something for my birthday. Simple as that. Idk I might make a project celebrating my birthday and maybe a studio to show support those that do make something for me, but more then not expect me to not do much. I will probably be more active on other places but idk how scratch would feel about me mentioning those so if you wanna find me somewhere just search minimaemarch on that site and see if I’m there.
