TW: the following message contains mentions of threats and bullying !! Recently I’ve noticed a sad increase in furry and therian hate, including death threats and illustrated violence towards other users. I don’t understand why, but I believe it has something to do with the newer generations just being anti-everything. This is really upsetting and quite confusing, as we are growing up with things like the furry and therian communities, and yet you guys still hate on them. You’re not going to make anybody stop being a furry or therian. They’re going to be who they want to be, and though you may chase a few off of this site, there are others, and they’ll never stop doing what they want to do because of somebody online. On top of that, it’s just flat out unfair and rude. It’s never been nearly as extreme as racism, but the two are quite similar in a few ways, especially in the fact that it’s just a bunch of entitled people discriminating those who are different because they want to. Not because they feel like they have a reason to. They just want to. That’s unfair and honestly really meatheaded. I’ve personally not received any direct threats, but a lot of people I know have. I’ve gotten a few spam comments on my TSOAS chapters about “Ew furry!” or “Omg furry art ew” and they’re disgusting to read. First of all, if you’re so anti-furry, why would you click on something with an animal drawn on the cover (because, of course, these people think animal art of any kind means furry??) It’s a waste of my time and theirs, and honestly, it’s a dumb way to try to get attention. Stop the hate. Here are my thoughts: Yes. She (SHE HAS HER PRONOUNS IN HER BIO) is correct through and through. I absolutely agree with her but I think she missed some things I would like to point out: 1. we can (and ABSOLUTELY will) report you. I've done that about five times. I'm not scared to do it again. 2. you mess with one, you mess with us All. 3. do you think your words phase us? if ya do, then you're wrong. 4. you're all (as nicely as I can put this) idiots. 5. we know you have a life so go do something with it. 6. I'm half tempted to just put 'you can kiss my scale-covered tail' but I'm not. 7. once again, haters are idiots. 8. I don't know how many times I must say this but HATERS. ARE. IDIOTS.
