Guys this is typical cat owner behavior ////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Leo's POV Big Mama had my cat. And I was gonna get her back. "Raph, take Jay back to The Lair." "Hold on," Jay said, "I can help. Just because I don't have legs dosen't mean I'm useless." "I know, I know, I'm sorry, but can you fight?" "Well, no, But-" "Jay, listen. Big Mama is a very dangerous giant spider lady. If you can't defend yourself, you could end up dead." "I can protect them," Donnie said. "I mean, WE can," he added when we all turned to look at him. "We're good at protecting people." He stared at his feet. Jay eventually agreed to leave, and Raph took them through the portal to New York. "Okay," I said, "we split up. Make sure you stay to the shadows. Don't get caught. Mikey, you go high, Donnie, you go low." They nodded and ninja'd away. I jumped onto the wall, holding onto a window, and carefully peeked in. The coast was clear. I opened a portal and climbed in, emerging in a dark room. Were the shadows moving? No, that's stupid. I looked at the ceiling. A vent! I juped up and grabbed onto the sides, and landed on my feet when it broke open. "NOPE," someone said, sweeping my legs. I fell on the ground with a thud, looking up just in time to see a racoon kid jumping through the vent. "Hey!" I got up and went after him. "What's your problem?" I complained as I army crawled behind him. "Get," he said, kicking at me. I dodged and grabbed his ankle. "Can you not?" He slapped me in the face with his tail. "Hey! Stopit! You need to learn some manners." I started trying to climb past him. "Get your own vent," he said, elbowing me. "I did! I got to this one first, and you rudeley stole it." I shoved his head and contiued going forward. He put his weight on my legs. "You think I don't know who you are? You're that guy who fought in the Battle Nexus." "If you wanted an autograph, you could've just asked," I joked, trying to shove his face with my foot. "Listen, pretty boy, I'm on a mission, and I'm not gonna let one of Big Mama's goons mess me up." "It's true, I am very pretty," I said, winking at him, "But we'll talk about that later. I don't work for Big Mama, I'm actually working against her." "Yeah, right." "It's the truth. I was fighting in the Battle Nexus against my will. Now Big Mama has my cat, and I'm trying to get her back." "What, like a feral cat? Why would she want your cat?" "Because my cat's part dragon." He stopped fighting me and stared at me. "Describe her eyes." "What?" "What do her eyes look like?" "Uh- purple with light purple rings instead of pupils?" "Okay, follow me." He climbed past me and crawled forward. "Come on, keep up." "Hold on, I'm confused." I crawled after him. "Weren't you just trying to kill me?" "I'm here trying to rescue a baby dragon. Now that I know you're her dad or something, I know you can help me." "Wait, how did you even know she was here?" "That's classified." "You sound like my brother. Speaking of brothers..." I turned on my communicator. "Donnie, Mikey, come in. I found someone who's gonna help us save Alia. Come find us." "You named the dragon Alia?" the racoon asked. "Yeah, why?" "Why didn't you give her a dragon name?" "I don't know any dragon names." "Who put Alia in your care?" "No one. I found her in the streets of New York." He stopped crawling and looked at me. "Okay, that has never happened, even with baby dragons. Tell me the truth." "How do I know YOU'RE telling the truth? You never even said anything about a dragon until I mentioned her. Very sus." He opened his mouth, but no words came out. Finally he said, "Fine. The reason I know about this dragon cat thing is because my sister's a dragon." He continued crawling. I stayed where I was for a second, processing this new information. I went after him, and turned a corner. He was stopped above a vent. He motioned for me to be quiet. I squeezed through so I could see what was happening. Big mama was in her human form in the room below holding a cat kennel. "Alright cutie, let's try this again. This time none of that meanie-weenie diddly-doo." She opened the door, and Alia slowly crept out. Big mama brought out a jeweled collar and tried to put it on the cat. Alia hissed and scratched Big Mama's hand. /Good kitty,/ I thought. Big Mama snatched her hand back, wincing. "Well now, that wasn't very nice. Why don't we play another gamey-wamey?" Her eyes glowed, and she transformed to her spider form. I tried to jump in, but the racoon held me back. "Just wait," he wispered, eyes glued to the scene below. Alia's fur fluffed up. Her ring pupils were almost slits. She bared her fangs. "My, such a scary little face," Big Mama said. "Well, if you want to play, let's play." She prepared to spit a web. "Leo! We're here!" Mikey burst through the door with Donnie behind him. Alia and Big Mama both turned to look at him. The look on Mikey's face was priceless. CONT-
CONT- I jumped out of the vent and brought out a sword. I heard the racoon land on the ground behind me. Mikey and Donnie brought out their weapons. "I'm gonna make this easy, Big Mama," I said. "Hand over the cat and I'll let you keep most your legs." Mikey's POV "Hand over the cat and I'll let you keep most your legs." Leo's words shocked me. Was he threatening Big Mama? I mean, I know she's a bad guy, but still. Leo's never acted like this. "My my my," Big Mama said, "Looks like the turtley-boos decided to pay me a visit. What cheery dipple-dapple!" I can never understand a word she says. Donnie spoke up. "Big Mama, that animal belongs to us. Kindly return her to us, please and thank you." "She belongs to you? I beg your padon, but I didn't see a taggy-waggy. This little kitty-witty is-" "Ugh, stop talking!" A racoon kid jumped forward and kicked Big Mama in the face. He grabbed a whip seemingly out of nowhere and started lashing it around, glaring at the spider lady. "Omigosh!" I said. "We both use long dangly weapons!" The racoon gave me a look, then wrapped the whip around one of Big Mama's legs. "Everyone stand back!" He said, and started spinning her around. Luckily the room was big enough for us to get out of the way. I glanced at Leo. The look on his face obviously said he was in love. I smiled. The racoon swung Big Mama faster and faster, and finally, with a flick of his wrist, the whip let go of her leg and sent her flying out the window. I went after her and jumped as high as I could. I extended one of my nunchucks and wrapped it around Big Mama, then swung her around and around like a ferris wheel. I made my nunchuck let go of her, and she skidded across the ground and finally came to a stop, unharmed. I used my nunchucks to propell myself back to the room. Donnie was smiling. Leo was holding Alia. The racoon was glaring at me. "Never got your name," I said. "Why did you do that?" The racoon said. "Big Mama is evil." "I know, but that dosen't mean we have to kill her. Then we'd be the evil ones. Also, she's our dad's ex so if we kill her we'd never be able to look him in the eyes." "Mikey, we can't just tell people that!" Leo said. The racoon whipped around to look at him. "You lied to me." "No, I didn't. I said we-" "You said you weren't working for Big Mama, but the orange one just told me she's your dad's girlfriend!" "He said she's our dad's ex. EX. They broke up for a reason. But YOU said your sister's a dragon. Why wasn't she here?" "She's a what?" Donnie and I said. The racoon let out a long, loud groan. He pulled his har and walked in a circle, saying something in spanish. "¿por qué? ¿por qué? ¿Por qué con todas las preguntas? ¿Por qué no pueden simplemente hacer lo que yo digo? Podría haber hecho esto solo. ¿Por qué estoy tratando siquiera de lidiar con estos idiotas?" I knew what that last word meant. He then took a deep breath and said in english, "Okay, fine. I'll tell you everything you want to know, but not here. Blue one, make a portal." "My name is Leo," he said, giving Alia to Donnie. "Whatever." "Only our dad calls us our colors." "Thanks for sharing. Portal." Donnie snorted. Once we were all on the other side of the portal, and the racoon was sure no one was listening, he sat down and took another deep breath. I could feel his frustration coming off him in waves. "Okay, listen up, 'cause I'm only gonna say this once." Donnie brought out a recorder. "It's for our brother Raph," he said when the racoon gave him a look. "He had to stay behind." "If anyone but your brother hears that, I will hunt you down and destroy you." "Noted." "My name is Luis López. I live with a dragon named Sunrise. We're both orphans, and after we met we sort of gradually became brother and sister. "Sunrise has a phsycic connection to other dragons, as all dragons do. She can't hear their thoughts, but she can feel when they're in danger. It's her job to guide and protect, but dragons can't risk being seen these days. You can probably understand why. So she sent me to find Alia. "Sunrise taught me to fight. She's the one who made me my whip. We protect each other. She also taught me everything there is to know about dragons. She said that if a dragon's parents can no longer care for them, then someone will bring them to someone that they know can be trusted." "Why hasn't anyone done that for Sunrise?" I asked. "She dosen't know. She's been trying to figure it out ever since she lost her parents. She said that someone should have come for her the second she was orphaned, but no one came." The story brought tears to my eyes. I tried to hold them back. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////// End of chapter 8 Song: Supermassive Black Hole Next: Previous: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1058433426/ First: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1053247310/
