Chapter Two - I Get in Trouble “Uh, do I have too?” I said, my fur cloaked with snow, and wet with sleet, so I looked like a wolf shaped snowman. My fellow portal guard, Sleet, crossed her fluffy, light grey, white tipped paws. “Yes, Winterhead.” My tail was tucked between my legs. “Why?” I whimpered quietly. “Because you must.” Sleet growled. “But why must I?” I responded. “BECAUSE YOU MUST!” The light grey tuxedo wolf snapped. I recoiled, and whimpered, “Y-yes mam.” Sleet turned around and marched off. I followed her, my ears flat, my tail between my legs even more now, and my right paw rubbing my left arm, a habit I do when I’m stressed. We passed some of my friends, Walrus and Spruce. They were brown wolves with light brown and dark brown features. They have the same colors, but in different places. They were twins, and Walrus has blue eyes and an overbite, and Spruce had green eyes and a bent left ear. We left them behind, and walked off. In the horizon, the tall, looming, midnight black form of Miedo Castle.
