DTA ENTRY for deep sea Reetroo’s design!! Name: Oceanos Gender: Tom Age: young adult Attitude: cold, calm, (secretly a nice person) Notes: his tail has three points on the end like a trident. Backstory: At a young age, some of his earliest memories, he was on a vacation with his parents near the coast. It had been a storm. He got lost at the beach, and the only thing he could see was a blinking light. He didn’t know it was a lighthouse. The rocks were wet and slippery, and the water was cold and deep. He woke up in a cozy room, with an old tom by his side. Oceanos backed. “Where am I?” He asked. The tom explained that he saw him drowning and brought him to the lighthouse where he lived. He took care of Oceanos while he recovered and while waiting for his parents to come looking for him. They never did. The old tom adopted him and showed him how to use the lighthouse, how to fish, and other things. One stormy night, around 10 years later, Oceanos while outside suddenly hears a loud crack and something similar to thunder. The ground shaked. He found the lighthouse and part of the cliff it was standing on destroyed. The only thing unhurt was the top of the lighthouse standing at the end of the cliff. Between the ruins he found the body of the old tom. He cried beside it the rest of the night. The next morning he buried his old friend and went to find items that could be saved. He found out that the light in the lighthouse still worked. He also found a passage to a tunnel system in the cliffs. The caves weren’t too small and not too big. He brought all the items he could save there. A few years later The caves were still his home. Still working in the lighthouse so that the boats could find land. When someone fell into the water close to the lighthouse cliff, some remember a red eyed shadow saving them. Many people told stories about the “lighthouse ghost” or “shore shadow”. Some believed he tried but failed to drown them. The cliffs were dangerous anyway. Parents used the ‘ghost’ to scare their kids away from the cliffs. Therefore he usually never met anyone. Oceanos didn’t care about the loneliness. He actually enjoyed the peace. That’s what he always had told himself. But…he did miss have anyone to talk to. Suddenly a scream was heard outside. This one was much closer than usual. He rushes up the tunnels to the surface and immediately looks around. “HELP!” He throws himself towards a dark, small paw at the edge, grabbing it. The cat screams and shakes in panic, making him slip her paw. “No!” He jumps after without thinking. He grabs her mid-air and holds her tight. The water is hard from the high fall, pressing the air out of his lungs. But he has practiced this and kicks as hard as he can, pulling the other cat to the surface. Her eyes are filled with shock, and she is hyperventilating. Oh no. Oceanos usually just lays the people he saves at the beach, but they usually aren’t this hurt or this young. No one is at the beach and can bring her home. Blaming himself for slipping her he brings her to his caves. She passes out on the way and Oceanos makes her an improvised bed. Sitting by her side as she starts sleeping peacefully, he wonders if he took the right choice. Wow that’s a lot. (My vocabulary is not the greatest as English isn’t my first language, so I’m really proud of this)
