kept flagging me so i'm posting it here. spoilers for episode 8 of murder drones. meant for the murder drones thread
"Uzi is dead. The Absolute Solver has won. It is using Uzi as a face. The entity remains unchanged. The Absolute Solver projects itself as Uzi. To put it in simple terms: "Easier to assimilate than explain." We can clearly see in the end of ep8 that "Uzi" is a projection. We also see what can be presumed to be the modern Cryosleep section of the bunker, which is still being consumed by the Solve [image 2]. So the Solver is likely only using Uzi as a face. This begs the question, why Uzi? This is actually a genius move on the Solver's part, seeing as Uzi was the chief resistance to it. Therefore, she would make a powerful host. The Solver purposefully influenced Cyn to lose to her because it desired Uzi as a superior identity and host. It didn't accidentally assimilate Uzi at the end of the series. The Solver was searching for a new host the entire time, using the Disassembly Drones to weed out the weak hosts. Uzi not only survived, but was able to manipulate and hold her own against the Disassemblers. This was the plan from the beginning. The Solver wanted a more effective host, so it forced Uzi into existence by creating the right circumstances on Copper-9 for a powerful Solver host to form. It didn't merely discover Uzi. It was cultivating her. This begs the question; how? With the Disassemblers, of course. J and V were meant to kiII off the weaker hosts, while N was meant to find the survivors and lure them in. Hence why Cyn always equated N and only N to being a golden retriever puppy [image 3]. That was his role, his purpose, and he slotted into it perfectly. So no, our cast did not win. The Solver is not only alive, but its plan has worked perfectly. It has selectively bred an entire planet into producing a compatible and powerful host for itself, then integrated into the host such that nobody else suspects a thing. "Easier to assimilate than explain." That wasn't a threat. Not a throwaway line for funsies. The plan was far too vast. The summarizations too complex. The Solver could not convey the scope of its project. It was easier to assimilate than explain." I told a friend of mine about that, and he counter-argued about why cyn would choose to give uzi half-yellow half-purple eyes, and i think that could be so that the people around her don't suspect the solver as being as volatile as before. they trust uzi and as long as she isn't in any direct pain they'll think she's fine and that the solver is nothing to be feared. she uses it now without any intervention from cyn and since she doesn't use it for harm, they'll think that cyn was the problem and not the solver.
