Important: You must play in full screen. This is because some of the touching blocks work differently with different screen sizes. How to play: Use arrows or WASD (and/or space) to move. Each level ends when you touch the rectangular green box. Try to collect as many stars as you can along the way, but you don’t need all the stars to complete the level. They are more like bonus points. You can use levers and sliders to move platforms to get to the end, and to tilt laser generators and mirrors to activate sensors. You will encounter enemy circles along the way. They will try their best to kill you, but they are simple to outrun or outsmart, and they cannot jump. Left-click to knock them sideways. Lava and lasers kill them. There are fourteen levels so far, and at the end there are three levels I used when developing the game. Have fun, and remember, practice makes perfect! Each feature explained: Bouncy pads: Bouncy pads are blue squares that you find on most levels, allowing you to bounce. This can be in any of the four orthogonal directions, or any of the diagonal directions. Your upwards bounce height is determined by your downwards momentum plus a small boost, and can be increased by pressing the up arrow. Stars: There are three stars on every level, which you can collect. The stars you collect are displayed on a log at the top left of your screen, filling from left to right, regardless of the order in which you collect them. Once you complete a level, the stars are saved, and can be viewed on the level select screen. If you die, you lose any stars you collected on that attempt, but any previous score for that level remains. You can only overwrite the number of stars you got on a level with a higher number. Lava: Lava appears as an orange box. It can be found on most levels and will kill you if you touch it. It will also kill enemies. Enemies: Enemies are blue circles with angry faces that follow you around and try to kill you. They cannot jump, and are slightly slower than you. Enemies will always move towards you, unless it will make them die. If there is a drop, they will only walk off it if you are below them, and they will not die (unless they will kill you first). They will also not drop if the end of the fall is offscreen. The enemies will die if they come into contact with the lasers or lava. If you are close enough you can left-click them to deal a small amount of knockback. This will never kill them, and has no cooldown. They cannot bounce, and will treat the green box at the end of the level as solid ground. Mirrors: Mirrors can be tilted with sliders, and reflect lasers. You can walk through them. Laser generators: Laser generators produce lasers when activated by their corresponding lever or sensor. You can walk through them and use sliders to tilt them.. Lasers: Lasers are green lines that bounce off mirrors and activate sensors. Their starting point is the activated generator and they bounce off mirrors until they hit a wall or lava. They will not harm you but will kill enemies. Actuators: There are two types of actuators: levers and sensors. Levers are activated when you click on them if they are within range (indicated by a white outline). Sensors are activated when they come into contact with a laser. They are used to move platforms and activate laser generators. You can walk through them. Sliders: Sliders are circles that you move back and forth along a track to tilt mirrors and laser generators. They can also be used to move platforms. You can only slide them if you are within range (indicated by a white outline). Platforms: Platforms are parts of the ground or walls which can be moved by sliders and levers. They can be identified by their lack of grass. Tips and tricks: 1) Hold up on the bouncy pads to go higher. 2) If you don’t have a Scratch account with scratcher status, or you don’t care about saving your scores, play here (https://turbowarp.org/1060303301/fullscreen) on Turbowarp for a smoother experience. 3) Some stars can be very difficult to get; for beginners it is sometimes best to leave them. 4) When a lever is turned on, the red dot is dim and the blue dot is bright. The opposite is true when they are turned off. 5) The sliders can sometimes be difficult to use. You have to keep the mouse pointer on the slider circle at all times while using the slider. 6) To see other people’s scores, click “See inside” and activate the lists “Overall_Scores” and “Username_Decode”. A player’s place in the Username_Decode list corresponds to 35 slots of Overall_Scores, one for each level. Players are not ranked. 7) Don’t be afraid to move to the very edge of a platform to jump further. 8) Practice makes perfect! It can take over 10 tries to complete some levels.
