The Crested Folk (Cognivola primocreata) are a recently evolved species of Divolad, which are endemic to the Northern Tropical Wetlands (NTW). They display intelligence roughly comparable to that of early anatomically modern humans, and are able to use and create a wide range of stone tools (two of these are pictured). This species is capable of harnessing fire, and they regularly use it to cook meat. This species is most closely related to the Pelicabble and other members of genus (Pelemimus spp), which display various complex behaviours, most notably their extremely complex social structure and partner selection process. The Crested Folk take this to the next level. (I'll write the rest of the lore in October)
