After that, the squirrels get smaller so they are harder to hit. After beating level 8 it stops getting harder, but you can go ahead and keep going. Try to beat the record! I spent a stupidly long time creating a system that stores everyone who has played along with the achievements they got using lists, but then I realised that there is no such thing as "cloud lists."
