The 1992 Los Angeles riots were a series of riots and civil disturbances that occurred in Los Angeles County, California, United States, during April and May 1992. It also resulted in the Emergency Broadcast system being activated for the first time during such an event, which there are two versions: First one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ujXavEAX44 The second version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJpzPPbNlMM 1992 was a different world, a world where the streets of Los Angeles were a canvas for rage and frustration. The Muppet Christmas carol would release December 11, 1992, serving as a stark contrast to the chaos that had ravaged the city earlier that year. The Emergency broadcast system, now called the EAS as you all know, was used for weather, like floods and tornadoes, but it had never been used like this, but it was the first time it was used during a riot. It was a time when the city was on edge, when fear and anger ruled the streets.
