Title: Burned, again ****** Ugh, why does math have to be so BORING???? I mean, when are we ever gonna use this again? I mean, I don't know about anyone else, but when I find myself a job, math will not be involved. "Via," My math teacher looked at me, "Would you please help us out?" I looked up at the problem. Bro. It was so easy. "Yeah, the answer is 15." I answered. She looked at me like I'd just grown a second head. "Very good." What was so surprising? That was an easy problem. She handed back our test from last week. 100% percent, again. "I would like to see you after class, please Via." Mrs. M said. Great. I'm in trouble too? I heard a snicker from behind me. "Village girl's in trouble." It was Catherine. I turned and glared at her. "Like you aren't always in trouble." I replied, with snark. "Catherine, I would like to see you after class," Mrs. M stared her down, " After Via." Of course, I still couldn't get out of this talk. "Fine, it's not like I care anyways." She said. "If you didn't care you wouldn't have said that." I replied, getting some people to giggle. Before she could say anything, the bell rang. "Yes Mrs. M?" I asked cautiously. "I'm going to put you into Algebra." She stated blatantly. "Really?" I asked, "I took Algebra in 8th grade." "Oh, where do you come from?" She asked. "The Village Kingdoms." "Oh, those people are very advanced," She scratched her head, "I'll see what I can do. I can tell you're getting bored in my class, you may go now." "Goodbye Mrs. M!" She turned to Catherine, "Know, about your behavior..." ****** It was finally lunch time. "Hey Lilly!" I smiled once I'd found her. "Hi!" She answered. We sat in a decent sized group. Me, Lilly, Genna (Daughter of Genie), Lark (Daughter of Lumiere), and Ola (Daughter of Olaf). "How are y'all?" I asked. "I'm okay, I got 74% on my math test." Ola answered. "Oh man," Genna replied, "I got an 85 on that one." "It's okay!" Lark answered. Lark was crazy optimistic. "Look. It's the dork girls." A cruel voice snickered. To my surprise, it wasn't Catherine, It was Willow. "Willow?" Lilly whispered, she looked so hurt. I looked at Lilly then snapped at Willow, "Why don't you look in a mirror." "Oh, I look gorgeous, don't I?" Willow remarked. "Depends on what your definition of gorgeous is." "My definition of gorgeous is me." She stated while flipping her hair. "I think it's about time you read a dictionary then." I replied with some more sass. "Yeah, j3rks like you aren't pretty," Genna chimed in, "They're ugly and fake." "Well dorks like you aren't pretty either," Willow said, "And don't even get me started on the 'it only matters what you look like on the inside' stuff." I could almost see the steam coming out of Genna's ears, and mine too, I bet. "What are you doing with the nerds, Willow?" Catherine came in from the side, "I thought we were done with them?" "We are." Willow stomped away. "Oh yeah?" I almost shouted, "Well I'm not done with you." That caught the whole cafeteria's attention. "What are you gonna do, Village Girl?" Catherine mocked. "Much worse than any damage you could do," And I made this last part loud and clear, "Gothel." She hated being called her Grandmothers name, and I knew it. There was silence in the room. "What. Did. You. Just. SAY." She whisper shouted. "You heard me." "Yeah, you heard her." Said a voice I didn't expect to hear, it was Lilly's. "Oh, we're gonna be the super hero's know, are we?" Willow sassed. "Well you wouldn't know anything about that," I said, stepping forward to defend my friend, "Would you Willow?" The guys at the table near us laughed, and some even agreed with me. "Burned," Lilly said, "Again."
Thank you's: @Lilly-Fizherbert for being Lilly and for being my bestie :)
