Ta-da! This was originally supposed to test out the remastered tileset, but it sort of became it's own thing. - Use the arrow keys to shift your view - Push the s button to change the scroll speed (the default is about two pixels every frame, which is really slow) This is far from finished, so here is a list of things I want to add in the future: - Parallax Background (complete with mountains) - Parallax Very background (basically just the sky): For every 4 pixels the ground moves, the sky will move 1 (might eventually expand upon this to include outer space) - (FINISHED) A toggleable map, so you can see where you are and the entire scenery at once (this is already in the project, it's just unfinished) - An underground layer lower than the already present one (may come with lava) - Some sky layers (clouds and the like) 1.0: + The Project 1.1: + Some more options for sky backgrounds that you can switch between by pressing b. This was more of a test to see what looked good. My favorite is 4, since it feels the most open out of all of them, and I intend to use it In the future. 1.2: + A Minimap, press m to see it, press g to enable a grid measuring screens, and press o to see the map properties.
I'm surprised I got this working as well as it does, I was fully expecting to run into some problems I just couldn't solve, but not only did I work around them just fine (which was followed by a huge celebration), but this may be my FIRST TRULY PIXEL PERFECT PROJECT EVER. Go ahead, compare the ground to the sky, it's all the same size, all the same grid. tbh I'm still proud of myself for making something this accurate like the FRIKKEN GENIUS I am Original release date: Sep 09, 2024 #pixel #mario #tile
