Chapter Two I screamed but my voice was no match with the scream next to me. I turned expecting to see a person, but instead I saw something more like a memory. My memory. There are two babies in the crib and a woman with red hair and green eyes is trying to protect them. A cloaked man emerges and points a stick, or something rather like one and says some funny words my brain can’t process that sound like”Dava Ehdaba “ Suddenly, the woman crumpled to the ground, her eyes begging for mercy. The younger child cried and the older one tried to comfort him and then the man unleashed the same fate that met the woman upon them. Then the older one tried to protect the younger one, who was wailing. But the blinding green light didn’t harm her, it turned her bottom part of her hair… golden. And I saw the face of… me. And then it ended and everything in my head went black. “Ivy. Ivy!” My eyes fluttered open and there was a boy with pale blonde hair and cold grey eyes staring at me. The back of my head hurt and the boy said “Hello Ivy Potter.” I stared back in confusion. “I’m not Ivy Potter, I’m Danae Taylor. Who are you?” The boy smiled back.”I’m Draco Malfoy.” Then his face turned as hard and cold as stone. “ I’m not supposed to be helping a Gryffindor.” Questions buzzed through my mind. Where was I? What was a Gryffindor? Where was my stone? I looked around, but there was nothing but trees and a pathway leading through the trees. And Draco, of course. My aquamarine stone was lying beside me. I picked it up and tried to stand up but fell instead. I was probably dizzy from the fall. Draco took my hand and said “Come on, Ivy. Your sisters and brothers are waiting for you.“ My head whizzed around to look at him. “Kyli and Lewis are here !?” and I completely ignored the fact that he called me Ivy. Again. “ No Ivy-” “Stop calling me Iv-” I was cut off by a tremendous neigh that came from behind me. I turned and there was this black, ghostly, horse creature. I could see it’s ribcage because it had no skin. There were wings attached to the beast and misty, black hair hung over it. It’s scarlett eyes pierced me and I screamed. Draco opened his belt and took out a bunch of spinach. He threw it towards the endless trees and the creature galloped away, leaving us in complete silence. We stood there for moments and then I broke the silence.”Draco, what in the heavens was that?” “That was a-a-a thres-tal. It’s rare to see one, but better to stay away from them.” Suddenly, I break down and start sobbing. “Wh-where am I ? Wha-what’s happ-happening a- arou-arond me?” I sob. Draco quickly pulls me up and points a stick towards me. A stick. The stick. “No!” I scream “I don’t want to die.” I run away from him following the dusty path, my hair flying behind me, my eyes full of despair, tears running down my face. Usually I would get lost in a forest like this, with twists and turns everywhere, but it’s like I have been at this place before, like it’s ingrained in my memory. Faint, but still there.
