Here we see a training ground for the functions of digital organisms (i.e., hunting, self-defense, communication, social behavior, reproduction, etc.) Shown here are a pair of dwarf freshwater shrimp. The smaller, more slender male is Apollo Lumos (light pink), and the larger, stockier female is Artemis Nox (medium pink). Housed alongside them are algae (green dots) and duckweed (floating plants). Apollo and Artemis are both equipped with an unseen sprite called a "guider", which they can use to switch between different trajectories more easily. This sprite acts as an extension to its hosts mind, giving said host the ability to essentially send messages to itself.
