Somethings off. That's the exact thing I thought when I first went to campus this morning. It looked almost... dead. No people, not even administration was there. It was... kind of unnerving. It was Friday, October 27th, in the so-called, 'peaceful' town of Cherishburg, so the campus would normally be crowded, since the town is known for it's annual Halloween week gathering at the school of all places, Cherishburg High. My name is Anthony. Anthony Giordano. I am a senior. That's about it with my life. Nothing really interesting goes on... except for today. All of a sudden, I heard footsteps approaching me... quickly. As if on instinct, the first thing I did was run to the flagpole, and then turned around. The thing I ended up running from? My stupid boyfriend who doesn't know the difference of sneaking up on people in a loving fashion, or in a terrifying fashion. "Hayden..." I spoke, a bit breathless from running, "...you scared me!" "Sorry, Tony," he responded. "I was just trying to talk. It's... oddly empty today." I nodded in agreement. He was right, it was oddly empty. "Yeah, we basically just ran all around campus." "Yeah, and I'm surprised those platforms aren't hindering your feet, babe," he stated, obviously trying to infuriate me. "Bite your tongue, they only just increased my tallness over you," I said with a smirk. But just then... we heard something fall... something big. "HOLY MOTHER OF BINGO!" Hayden exclaimed, hiding behind me. "Boo..." I stated, "it's probably nothing. Let's check it out." "Are you sure?" "Yes." We decided to go over to the noise. I wasn't quite sure what it was, but Hayden kept theorizing out loud, thinking of the different things it could be. When we finally got there, I thought we were stupid. We just saw a dumpster on the ground. "Thank goodness, I was about to-" Something, or someone, cut Hayden off. "What was that, you were saying?" I turned around... but he was gone. "Hayden? Hayden, where are you!?" I hollered all around campus, but before I knew it, that same thing cut me off too. Next time I came to, I was sat beside him again. His messy black hair was all over the place, but he looked stressed. "Hayden?" I asked, moving my blonde hair out of my face. "Anthony...?" He then looked at me... and practically squished me with a hug. "I can't- OOMPH!" He finally let me go. "Where are we...?" "Like I have a clue!" he yelled, but then a voice spoke from... an intercom? "Finally, you're both awake, I was worried I would've had to wake you up manually." The voice sounded sinister... unnatural... evil. "Tell us where we are!" I yelled. "Ohoho... you're just here to play a small game... a game of choices, I should say. The type of choices? Well, you'll find out yourselves." "Well, just my luck," Hayden spoke, but then I realized something. None of this was about luck at all.
Good day to you all! I had such a fun time writing this! Any prompts? Please, give!
