hey gang it's me lampetra back with another scratch rant. dont forget to smash that favourite button this might be strangely worded/repetitive . i’m . so sorry if it is i see a concerning amount of projects with suggestive songs on here, especially in the animation meme community. i don’t have anything against the songs unless they’re genuinely illegal [which i'm pretty sure i have unfortunately seen here too but i wouldn’t exactly like to get into that] but scratch is aimed at ages 8-16 and i think it’s common sense to not expose 8 year olds to that stuff?? most of the songs i see getting used are not in english and people like to use that as an excuse as if everyone on scratch only speaks english which is definitely not the case, but some of them HAVE been in english so the argument wouldn’t work anyway. rarely these projects have warnings for the lyrics as well, but a warning isn’t enough since people can accidentally view them?? some projects i’ve seen have somewhat suggestive animation too which makes it so much worse also - there’s countless projects with uncensored swearing. i wouldn’t say it’s as big of a problem but you never know what kids going to repeat something they heard online and you never know what could happen to them if you get what i mean hellpp. i can’t control what audio you use in your projects obviously but i think people should try to be more wary of what they do since the scratch team misses out on a lot of things, and usually you don’t want to be spam reported
