The ascension ending for The Artificer oh my goodness I'm going to cry like yes but noooo But I love the way that there are two endings to her story. Both could be argued to be either the good or ending. The ending where she finally gets vengeance for her pups, but hurts countless innocent scavengers in doing so, and becomes trapped in that cycle of anger and pain forever, or the ending where she finally lets go of what she can of that anger and hurting, and she gets to see her pups one final time before being at peace, but without vengeance, and entirely gone, still unable to ascend, because what she did couldn't just be taken back. The fact that she can never truly have a happy ending because of how she chose to let that fury control her, as understandable as it was. Who could've guessed a game where you play as a squishy little creature called a slugcat could be so well-written and heart-wrenching? I love this game lol that's the end of my rant. :)
