His father, Static, 'King of the Speed Mystics', was talking to.. someone nearby. They sounded familiar, too, but their voice was quieter, so Flash couldn't quite figure out who it was. Static wasn't even talking to him, but it didn't matter. His voice cut through Flash's mind and thoughts like sharp knife, threating to chop him up if he didn't stop to listen. Flash.. hadn't felt this fear in a long time- or at least it seemed like it, with the way that dream had been. It was like a thousand spiders were crawling up his back, biting at him, and he could feel the bites so clearly, but still he didn't move, for fear that he would be noticed. So instead, he just let the pain seep in, trying to ignore it. After the longest few minutes, Flash began to relax. He could feel the spiders retreating, and his shaky legs started to steady themselves as he heart his father's voice, and the voice that accompanied him, fade into the distance. Flash drew in a cautious, shaky breath between clenched teeth, as if simply breathing was a risky move. He turned and tried to sneak in the opposite direction, before that voice, the one he dreaded hearing, snuck through the grass and snapped into his ear, and he could feel his legs stiffen again. "Oh, Flash!!" Static called. "C'mere, I was *just* looking for you. Really, I'd thought you wouldn't even be up yet, you *always* sleep so late." He chuckled. While friendly and light-hearted on the surface, his voice held a certain.. undertone, one that only Flash and a few other people could recognize when it appeared. It threatened Flash, telling him that if he said the wrong things, he'd pay for his 'Mistake'. Static wouldn't meet Flash halfway, despite how far apart the two were, which admittedly bugged Flash a little, but he tried to ignore it and plaster a small smile on his face, because he knew if he didn't, Static wouldn't exactly like his 'Miserable face', and why did Flash always have to act so depressed, and act like his whole life was awful? He had things 'Good', he had no reason not to smile. Or so Static would tell him, anyways. Flash half-ran to see what Static wanted. He made sure not to go too slow, because Static would complain, but if he went too fast, Static would think Flash was excited to see him, and Flash would never hear the end of it. When Flash finally arrived, Static smiled, in that way he so often did, that made Flash know he was going to ask for something oh-so 'Nicely', And Flash wasn't going to be able to say no, no matter how ridiculous the request was. His smile was a crooked, malicious sort of smile, that made Flash uneasy just to look at it, so naturally he looked to the ground. It felt like the grass was going to consume him- but anything was better then looking at that smile.. Anything was better then watching those eyes- watching you, knowing they're judging every move you make.

Join the ping list here!: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/34413314/ Lol this one was kinda short and ramble-y, sorry Heyyy so I’ve been thinking, what if sf was Antro? (cats on two legs) I’ve been thinking about this idea for a while, and I think it’s a really good inbetween of humans and cats. It allows for a lot more room with culture development and general story depth and originality while also allowing me to keep the designs and world that I’ve fallen in love with! It would also make some scenes EASIER to write, as I find it kind of hard to write with four-legged animals because of their limited movements and facial expressions they’re actually able to show (For example, body language is something that’s very hard to convey when writing cats because for someone who doesn’t know about cat body language like I do, putting in certain clues would be completely pointless, where as writing motions with hands or shoulders is much more distinct and easier to read for the average person). On the other hand, there are the basic cons. I don’t want to have to redo all the refs again lol. I’d also have to rewrite a lot of scenes, but I’d probably have to do that anyways. There is also the basic issue of people chalking sf to a “Furry book” and not wanting to read it, but people call me a furry anyways so that’s not really a big factor anymore lol. So what do you guys think? If you click the thumbnail, I put some pictures of Anthro Kira just for perspective. I’m honestly not sure if it’s a good change or not, but I think if done right it would give me a lot more leeway with the series like I’ve wanted for a while. I just need you guys thoughts I guess haha. (Please be honest, I really need some brutal honesty lol) Anyways- thanks for reading my bug ramble about a stupid debate. Bye! (Also, for some context on the art, that would be Kira’s first design in the next arc, not in this one. If I were to draw her in this arc she’d look a little younger and wouldn’t have the cloak or the knife, and her clothes would fit better. It’s just a quick mock-up and would by no means be her final design if I DO go with the anthro thing ) (Thanks for reading lol)
