You are on an expedition to colonize a new planet! ~Roll the dice by clicking on the button in the lower corner, then use the arrow keys to navigate the terrain as you attempt to collect the key resources you'll need to establish a permanent settlement. Collect all five resources to win. ~At the end of your movement phase, you can type "Scan" or "investigate" to use the ship's sensors to scan the entire map for interesting features, or to investigate an interesting feature and find our what it is. (To investigate, type "investigate" then click on the square you want to reveal) ~Both moving and using the ship's sensors will consume your food stores. Thankfully, the fruits of the planet are edible. Other plants are medicinal and can be used to restore your health. Move on top of the fruit or plant tile and roll higher than the dice in the lower right to collect it. ~Beware! You aren't the first settlers on this planet! Watch out for settlers from Jupiter. They will jealously defend the key resources, as well as their encampments. However, if you can successfully defeat one of their encampments, you could win a great amount of food. ~Whatever planet you choose as your home will give you an advantage in certain types of resource collecting. Click on the planet you want as your home on the start screen to being the game. ~Move upwards off the current map to reach a new section of the planet to explore. If you get stuck at any point in the game, press space to refresh the map. Be warned that doing so during a battle will make you incur a health penalty and forfeit any rewards.
