Book 2 - Chapter 1: Lost, A friend. -- I found myself staring at a wall of letters, numbers, and a whole lot of gibberish. I couldn't make sense of what it was. -- Imagine you'd lost your best friend, swiftly and suddenly. and be powerless to stop it. and yet, you still think, 'I could have saved them.' Phantasm pondered this, yet couldn't imagine it. They'd never really had friends being stuck in a cave-hole they didn't ask to be thrown in. What Phanatsm could imagine was meeting people, warming up, becoming close, then one being severely shaken and withdrew themselves from ALL forms of contact with others, when you'd just started to learn how to make friends with them. NOT FAIR! They blame the snuffy 'kit council' for this disaster. Phantasm had only met them for like, 48 Ticks, and they'd destroyed almost everything, physical, and emotional! This really made Phantasm want to send them down a hole. Too late, ha, ha, because Crypt got to them first and did it for Phantasm. That was nice. Poor Crypt really couldn't catch a rest these days, however. With Umbra not here, and Fortuna..well..ah.. anyway, he was left all the work about telling Pyro, Eveyln and her owl friend-kit, along with a kit called Zephyr, all the travels, who I was, some lost island that he wanted to visit again, blah, blah, blah. I mean, the Lost island sounds fun. I'd go with them. but only if no holes nor pits were present. -- In short work, The entirty of Kitland's system was thrown into a wall and possibly set on fire. Pyro himself had even discussed with others wether to change the name of Kitland, because 'it didn't seem right.' Pyro didn't disagree with that statement, but no one told him overthrowing the system would result is so much WORK. He avoided it by telling the kits that they needed to work on fixing their home. A lot was ruined by Barbarian's rage expolsion, also from the initial battle with the former stuffy rulers. AT the same time, he knew it would be unavoidable. They did need a new leader or leaders. Fair ones. Pyro didn't like the way people were looking at him, as if he was a leader. Sure, he had started the revolution, but it was completly unorginized, and he made a rash, anger-fuled descision to burn down a forest. that was not what a leader did. He sighed, and went back to moving charred wood in a pile. No use of it anymore, all charred and brittle. Pyro whished he could set it ablaze with his flamethrower, but it was snapped in half. He didn't;t even know if it could be repaired. it just..existed when he existed. A strange thought, but Pyro contuine to stack more brittle, charred wood into a pile. With Pyro's belief, the council had it coming for what had happened, but Pyro knew, also, he would have to repay karma for what he also caused. -- Crypt nailed a dark wood board into place. Phantasm beside him, working on a stain of the deck. After the battle, and the crash, what was left of Crypt's boat was a few planks. If they were going anywhere soon, they'd need a new ship. a fine one, not the dingy little boats that sail horriably.
