Because of this operation extended to international flights to Rio de Janeiro, the USA, Europe, and South America. Furthermore, in 1997, the fleet was augmented by the acquisition of PP-VPW (in November) and PP-VPV (in December), both of which were previously operated by Canadian Airlines.
