Annabeth: I walked up to Percy's house, trying to calm my beating heart. The cold winter air whipped my small, dark braids around my face. I hadn't seen Percy since summer. I missed him. I knocked on the door. He opened it, his face lighting up as soon as he saw me. What had I done to deserve such a reaction? I smiled at him, and he came forward. We ran to each other and embraced. He kissed me, and it was like a fire was rushing through my body. I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around his neck. We broke away after a few minutes. "I missed you..." he said softly. "Me too." He lead me inside. Mrs. Jackson was in the kitchen with Paul Blofis, Percy's stepfather. There were blue cookies on the table, a joke between Percy and his mom. "Hi, Annabeth. Come sit down, will you?" Paul greeted me kindly. I smiled, grateful for his hospitality. Mrs. Jackson eyed Percy as she gave me a hug. "Hi Mrs. Jackson, hi, Paul," I said. I sat down and Percy handed me a cookie. I took a bite. Warm, gooey, chocolaty, like only Percy's mom can make. "These are really good, Mrs. Jackson, thanks!" She smiled. "Anytime." Percy and I left the house, heading to the newly made park downtown. The air stings my cheeks, and I know Zeus is at work. I see dark clouds in the distance. He must be angry. With what, though? I shake my head and catch up to Percy. We find a secluded area of trees in the park, no doubt grown with Grover's help. I know there will be naiads watching us, but I don't care. I kiss Percy with all I have. I lean into him as we sit there, the two of us, together.
