Scientific name: Hastalingua saltator Alias: Abyssal Flowerworm Niche: Filter Feeder Evolved from: Hastalingua cheimarroi Description: Flowerworms are simple whipologs that sit at the sea floor and filter feed, using their hollow tongues with many openings (there are holes at the end of every straw thing coming out of the tongue) to suck in and then feed on nutrients it captures before contracting its stomach to free up more space. This process makes them breathe in a way that makes them eerily similar in motion to human lungs.
