Shoutout to @mxmoriies- for being an amazing person! ————————————————————————— 1,2: Illusion has been settling in nicely and has gotten very close with Zora. Today I decided to try and ride Illusion bareback, just so I can get better at balancing on her because she is a cross country horse. I slipped on her head collar, she said her goodbyes to Zora and we made our way to the wash bay. 3,4,5: I tied illusion up, grabbed her bridle and put it in her. She looked a little bit confused as to why I didn’t grab her saddle but otherwise she seemed excited to get to the arena. 6,7: It took me a couple tries to mount without a stirrup but I made it eventually. Illusion was looking at me slightly confused but didn’t seem agitated. I decided to treat this like a regular ride just without a saddle. Illusion tends to get a little overexcited so I’ve been working on doing a lot of transitions with her so she learns to listen to me more. She turned out to be a very comfortable horse to ride bareback and the ride really helped me understand her movements better. 8:Next I decided to tack up Pebbles and take him out to the cross country track. 9,10: Pebbled tends to rush and speed up to much before jumps, so we worked on slowing down so he can achieve a smoother and safer landing and overall jump. 11,12,13: I walked Pebbles back to his paddock with Kestrel and Emperor, he’s always happy to see them. I gave all of the horses a pat before heading home. —————————————————————————
