Scratch team has gotten progressively worse this year but my close friend @Ivy-Bloom getting banned today was the last straw..if you don’t know scratch team has been banning and taking down projects that haven’t broken rules at all. Users like @Kingsdee just draw and haven’t done anything wrong, but some little kid reports them and scratch immediately takes them down without any reason. That also brings me to another reason, how scratch pays attention to random things being reported but not actual harmful projects. Like stolen art or homophobic comments always are reported but never get taken down. Unlike people like my friends posting art then randomly getting banned?? Simply saying “hi” or “good project” will result in a “no commenting for 12 hours.” But commenting “burn in hell if your gay” you get a gold star. This also may be because of their bot. They don’t moderate it enough and don’t pay attention the damage being done. They also claim you can message them whenever but have never once adressed the countless projects being mad at scratch. It’s honestly ridiculous. Scratch will say “oh it’s a kid site” but there’s scratch jr for actual little kids plus scratch is evolving and getting bigger. You can’t still be mad at people for telling someone their nickname. Look through the images or search “Scratch sucks” just to realize how big a problem this is. More and more people are feeling unsafe and leaving the site. What’s worse is when scratch bans you for no reason they don’t even have the gut to tell you, why? Why am I getting banned even though I’ve worked so hard to help this community? With people stealing art and bullying, the community is getting more and more polluted and toxic. I come across young kids who look up to scratch and it makes me feel sad, because with the way scratch is heading right now they won’t look up to them for much longer. Scratch also used to be a safe place for many, for people who's parents won’t allow them to have Y0utub3 or d3v!antart because “their too young,” but now scratch is trying to push out teens because we’re “too old.” We don’t have anywhere to go but here. Sure, there are other platforms such as pixilart and toy house but those places are unfamiliar and intimidating. My self has been on scratch since I was 9 and has a lot of great memories. But I just don’t want to wake up one day and see all my hard work banned. Remix the project with your username signed or post your user in the comments, share, love and fav will all help push this project to the front page and get scratch’s attention. If scratch doesn’t step up to their mistakes soon then ig there’s no hope left for the artist community and others. “Scratch is super toxic and harmful.
