Knuckles has just come of age and is now ready to officially take on the full responsibilities of guarding the Master Emerald. However, before he can claim the title, the ancient spirits of the Echidna tribe have set forth a challenge known as the Spin Jump Trial. Knuckles must complete the ancient task of collecting 100 rings while ascending through a mystical sky tower. Each ring represents his strength, wisdom, and dedication to protecting the Master Emerald. The player must help Knuckles make precise jumps and spins to reach the final 100 rings.
