I had another assignment for an English class. This poem is inspired by Hidden Figures, a book written by Margot Lee Shetterly. It's a story of the women who were behind some of NASA's most advanced calculations in a time where women and black Americans were not treated fairly. It's an amazing story, and I'd recommend reading it. If books aren't your thing, I'd suggest you watch the movie. Anyways... enjoy the poem! :)
Credits to Margot Lee Shetterly for her book, Hidden Figures. And a special thanks to Dorthy Vaughan, Katherine Goble Johnson, Mary Jackson, and all the other women who pushed the boundaries at Langely, NACA, and NASA. Your sacrifices and legacies will not be forgotten.
