In which Jaiden contemplates her life choices Jaiden stared at the girl, bewildered. Was she another therian? A furry? Or someone who simply wore gear? The girl blushed and tried to hide her tail. “Uh- I-” she stammered. Before Jaiden could say anything, the girl had darted past her and disappeared. “Well then,” muttered Jaiden. “Guess I’m not asking her.” She grabbed her bag and slid into the aisle, pushing to the front to get out as quickly as possible. “Jay! Wait up!” she heard Raine call from somewhere behind her as she stepped outside the bus. She glanced back at her friend, who looked shocked. “OMG, Jay, that girl you were sitting next to! Did you SEE her? She was wearing a TAIL! Like, a REAL FOX TAIL!” Raine yapped. Jaiden responded, “Yeah, I saw her. It was a very nice tail. I think it was pretty.” Raine gasped. “Pretty? I mean, sure, it looked, like super fluffy, but Jaiden! She was WEARING it! Like a FURRY or something!” Then she started laughing. “I bet the school has to install litter boxes now, huh? And hopefully she brought her own lunch! The cafeteria doesn’t serve dog food!” Jaiden looked at her friend, disgusted. “Do you even know what a furry is?” she challenged. Raine blinked. “Uh, yeah. They’re mentally ill people who think they’re animals.” she stated. Without another word, Jaiden turned and walked into the school building, ignoring Raine shouting at her to wait. -Later- Jaiden sat at her desk with her head down. There was five minutes until the lunch bell rang, and she had finished her math work. So she was using the time to think. ‘She’s an anti,’ she thought. ‘I can’t believe this. I’m so glad I never came out to her. She would ditch me in a second.’ ‘Maybe she will anyway. After seeing me walk off like that, she MUST know something’s up.’ ‘Is it even worth staying? What if she finds out? She’ll ruin my reputation. I’ll be bullied.’ ‘But I can’t just leave her. She’s my best friend. We’ve known each other for years. I can’t ditch her.’ Thoughts like these swirled around her head until, at last, the bell rang. Jaiden let out a sigh of relief and stood up, grabbing her bag and following everyone else out the door. To her surprise, Raine was waiting outside the classroom, her arms crossed. “Raine, what are you-” “What was that about earlier?” Raine interrupted. “You left, Jay. You seemed insulted by the fact I talked about the furry girl.” Raine leaned in closer. “Why was that, hmmm? Could it be perhaps that YOU are a furry as well?” Jaiden stared at her, bewildered. “I-” She took a deep breath and lied, “No, I’m not a furry. I don’t like furries. I don’t know what that was about, and I’m sorry.” She felt extremely uncomfortable saying that, but Raine smiled. "Alright then," Raine said. She grabbed Jaiden's hand and turned. "Let's go to lunch now, I'm starving! I'm sorry, this chapter is pretty bad. I rushed to get it out :( Also in the next chapter there will probably be Picrew art of the goofy ahh characters so you can see what they look like :>
