Name: Ferin Name derivation: Luciferin Name reasoning: Luciferin is an organic compound that can cause bioluminescence in an organism (such as foxfire) when oxidised. This is somewhat resemblant to Ferin's bioluminescent markings. Foxfire, incidentally, is also poisonous, similar to the way Ferin's paw pads secrete a very mild poison (see bio) ---Personality--- Ferin is an assidous Zorua-Umbreon hybrid, employing ruthless and sadistic tactics to achieve her tasks. She has long been embittered towards Light Pokémon and tends to attack them in ways which will hurt them most, believing it payback for the pain they caused her (see bio). Most commonly, she will infiltrate or attempt to befriend a individual/group of Pokémon under the guise of being a Light Pokémon and build a steady bond with them (obviously with breaks to recover in the Dark Realm), then attack them once they have complete trust in her, or pick individuals in a group off one by one to maximise the terror they expereince. She is incredibly hard-working and dedicated to becoming stronger and more powerful, and may spend long lengths of time training for this, with little reagrd for her own safety or health. ---Bio (and any additional information)--- Ferin had an older sister when she was younger, whom she admired and loved greatly. She trained relentlessly so she could compete with her and hoped to join her on some of her longer expeditions into the Light Realm some day. But before that day could come, her elder sister passed at the hands of a group of Light Pokémon in a fierce battle. Ferin was left devestated by the loss of her sister, and became more recluded, but also increasingly driven with her grief and spite for Light Pokémon. She wants to cause Light Pokémon just as much pain as they caused her, and wil stop at nothing to exact her revenge. She will scarcely run from a fight, even when her life is at risk or in danger of serious injury. Due to being part-Umbreon, Ferin secretes a poisonous sweat from her paw pads, similar to the one Umbreon's pores exude, when she feels threatened or angry. This is a very mild poison, however, and the most effect it has is causing plants to wither if she stands on them, or a slight stinging sensation in another pokémon of they touch her. Ferin is in some control of her bioluminescence, and can dim the glow in the dark if she needs to, though not cut it out completely. The markings may also glow fiercely when she in in or preparing for battle. Due to being part-Zorua, Ferin is also able to mimic the appearances of other pokémon. However, her markings remain on her fur, regardless of what form she assumes, and she cannot maintain her transformed form for particularly long. Press k to reach the bio picture in the project :)
