Fun Fact: In 2016, the Parola Tank Museum in Finland was in dire need of funds to build shelters for many of their tanks, including the world's last BT-42 in existence, which was in risk of being torn apart by the elements. The donation campaign initially went awfully with barely any funds raised, but within weeks, the museum received €20-40,000 of donations. More surprisingly, these mostly came from all over Japan. This was at the result of the release of the film, Girls und Panzer: Der Film, for the anime, Girls und Panzer, which starred the BT-42 in one of the most iconic scenes of the anime. With GuP fans and tank enthusiasts more than happy to donate, their donations did a major role in putting a roof over the BT-42 and many other tanks of the museum. (This is a story I just really wanted to share because it's just a cool story of an anime saving real tanks)
