︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵ Q1: What's your favourite genre/genres? A: Fantasy, suspense (I also like a little clean romance in there but typically as a sideplot) Q2: Have you ever finished writing a story? A: Yes, but I scrapped it Q3: First person POV, second person POV, or third person POV? A: First person is my go-to Q4: Do you have a favourite author? If so, who? A: Jonathan Stroud Q5: Do you want to be a writer when you're older? A: I'm already a writer lol; what I want to be is a bestselling author :D Q6: Do you have any advice for writers? If so, what is it? A: Don't worry about what other people might say about your writing. Write because you love it, not because you want attention Q7: When it comes to writing, are you a perfectionist? A: Usually not. I used to have a bigger problem with that but most of the time I'm able to be more laidback about my writing and not nitpick it too much Q8: Have you shared a story on scratch before? A: Yes Q9: What's your favourite plot structure? (7 point plot structure, hero's journey plot structure, etc) A: Honestly, I don't follow a specific structure. I just write and see which way works for the story Q10: What's your inspiration? A: Pretty much all media I've ever consumed and all the people I care about Q11: Do you like making graphic novels/comics? A: I'd like to, but I'm not as confident with art as I am with writing so I've never been able to do it Q12: Poetry, or story writing? A: Stories. Poetry is a sometimes thing for me but I love a good story Q13: Fiction or non-fiction? A: Fiction Q14: What's your favourite book/series? A: Lockwood & Co Q15: Do you believe in writers block? A: Um, yes? Are there people who don't think that's a thing? Q16: What about reader's block? A: I've definitely experienced this too actually Q17: Do you like putting references in your stories? (references to other books, a movie, songs, etc) A: Oh heck yes. I love a good easter egg Q18: Do you like writing chapter books? A: Absolutely; it's pretty much all I write Q19: Realistic fiction or unrealistic fiction? A: Unrealistic is more fun because you can bend the limits Q20: Have you ever written a character based on someone in real life? A: Definitely Q21: Do you give MBTI personality types to your characters? A: Yes :D Q22: Writing in a notebook or writing on google docs? A: Google docs or Samsung notes on my phone Q23: What do you think is the best thing for someone to do when they get writers block? A: Take a break and come back to it with fresh eyes. Music helps me a lot, especially if you focus on how it could fit your story. Write something non-canon ('fanfiction of your own story', you could say) just for fun and see where it leads you Q24: When did you realize you wanted to be a writer? A: I've always wanted to tell stories, but I started writing around six and a half years ago Q25: Do you have a lot of OCs? A: OH YES Q26: Do you have a lot of stories you are writing? A: *cough* Um, yep Q27: What's the most difficult part of planning a story? A: Lol I don't actually plan; I write by the seat of my pants and see where it takes me Q28: Do you do journaling? A: I try Q29: Do you write in one specific way/theme, or lots of different ways/themes? e.g. fantasy, third person, non-fiction, first person, second person, fiction, etc A: Most of my stories are first person, some genre of fantasy, romantic subplots, with teenage/young adult characters Q30: Do you find it hard to write the first chapter/ prologue? A: On the contrary, the prologue is usually really fun and then the first chapter kinda derails me a little, but once I get through that it's easier
Q31: Have you drawn your characters before? A: Occasionally Q32: Have you roleplayed with your characters before? A: I try not to RP with my story characters, because then my story will start to imitate the RP and I don't like that Q33: Do you think you take way too long planning what to write instead of actually writing? A: Well, I don't really plan in the way you're thinking, but I definitely spend more time thinking about writing than I do actually writing Q34: What's your favourite part when editing? A: *flees* I HATE EDITING Q35: What's your least favourite part when editing? A: ALL OF IT Q36: How long have you been writing? A: Well I already answered this (six and a half years) Q37: Have you tried writing in a new way before? A: I don't quite understand this question. Genre? Writing style? I need specifics Q38: What, in your opinion, is the most fun theme to write about? (not genre. A theme is like war, coming of age, good vs evil, family, etc) A: Conspiracy, betrayal, good vs evil, and others I can't think of atm Q39: Have you written characters with sad backstories? A: If they don't have trauma in their backstories, they'll get it in the plot, that's for sure. All my characters are either deeply scarred or will inevitably get that way Q40: Have you ever written yourself in a story? A: All of my characters are like me in some way, but I haven't done an actual exact self-insert. I only have one intended self-insert and her personality somehow became different than mine Wait never mind I have another self insert, but she ended up turning into pretty much my opposite lol Q41: Do you usually unintentionally make a side character more interesting than a main character? A: All the time lol Q42: Have you ever written a character as something other than a human? A: Yep! My first work was a Warriors fanfiction Q43: Have you ever written the main character as the villain before? A: Not really, but I've always liked the idea Q44: What's your favourite things to put in stories? (things you personally find entertaining to read/write) A: Slowburn romance, enemies to lovers, trauma and healing from it, loyal friends, tragic romance, and of course the suave, hilarious, lovable male character <3 Q45: Have you written romance before? A: Yes, although I only have one story where the romance is the main plot and it's a very tragic one Q46: Do you put life lessons in your stories? A: YES Q47: What's your favourite character from a book? A: Anthony Lockwood, unless you mean one of my books. Then almost all of them lol but Forrest will always have a place in my heart Q48: Writing or drawing? A: Both, but I'm better with writing I think Q49: Writing or reading? A: Both Q50: Have you written a main character as the complete opposite of you before? A: Yes, Stormi, who actually was intended to be a self-insert ︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶ Credit to @plastic_stars for original project!
